Not only did Amazon deliver a large list of various articles of dog clothing but I could also compare prices and check customer reviews. For informational purposes we will use this camouflaged dog fleece. Here is the information that I got from the first page when looking into this “X-large Fleece Camo Dog Hoodie”.

The fleece will fit dogs that are between 50 and 65 pounds.
This item has 4 stars and was reviewed by 6 customers. ( 2 giving it 5 stars, 3 giving it 4 stars and 2 giving it 3 stars).
I know that the large dog fleece weighs 12 ounces.
I know exactly what the item looks like as I can see several pictures of it right on the site.

What I found while Searching Google for large dog sweaters:

I should start by saying that I didn't use Google's web search but instead I clicked on the shopping link at the top of their homepage so that only online retailers would show up in the search results.

There were several results for large dog sweaters. Literally, a ton of online retailers all selling pet clothing, over 54,000 listings. In order to break it down I remove all retailers without a customer rating, this will help me to avoid online shops that are less than reputable. I then begin to organize them by price. You will never guess what the first listing was for... A dog sweater on Amazon.com. I guess even Google likes the mega stores. Aside from Amazon, there were quite a few very nice shops that were selling cute, not ridiculously cute, pet clothing at very reasonable prices.

What it boils down to is simply preference. Which ever one of these methods you prefer.

Another tip when you are shopping for dog cloths online is that it helps to be specific. For example what type of dog sweater are you looking for? Are you looking for cheap dog sweaters, designer dog sweaters, extra large dog sweaters, dog knit sweaters, hand knit dog sweaters, sports dog sweaters or black dog sweaters? Those are just a few examples. It will go much faster if you know exactly what you are looking for, however, you can “window shop” too.
